Each alert group has a unique webhook URL that includes a secure hash. This URL acts as authentication for TradingView webhooks, which don't support traditional auth methods.

Creating Your Telegram Bot

Step 1: Talk to BotFather

  1. 1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather
  2. 2. Start a conversation and send /newbot
  3. 3. Choose a name for your bot (e.g., "My Chirpify Alerts")
  4. 4. Choose a username ending in "bot" (e.g., "mychirpifyalerts_bot")
  5. 5. Copy the API token BotFather gives you

Step 2: Add Bot to Chirpify

  1. 1. Go to Channels in your Chirpify dashboard
  2. 2. Click "Add Channel" and select "Telegram"
  3. 3. Paste your bot token
  4. 4. Click "Connect" to verify the connection

Step 3: Get Your Chat ID

  1. 1. Start a chat with your bot in Telegram
  2. 2. Send any message to the bot
  3. 3. In Chirpify, click "Get Chat ID"
  4. 4. Select your chat from the list
  5. 5. Save the channel configuration
